I took the time to clean out the fenced in backyard yesterday but pulling out all the briers and weeds and raking out the dirt. Now if only my mower wasn't broken so I could mow the grass outside the fence.

I have noticed hardly anyone is mentioning the Dec 21/22 end of the world prediction anymore. I wonder why. It makes a perfectly good excuse to have a crazy party on the 20th!

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. To boldly go where no main character will go...

Because it's all a hoax. In fact, Mayan calendars have been found that go well beyond 2013.

Here's a site dedicated to debunking the whole thing: www.2012hoax.org/

I always thought an ancient Mayan would appear to chisel a one into the calendar. Anyways, I still want to make the excuse for a crazy party, or go to one, on the 20th!

I got two extremely hard blood draws that I thought I would miss today. I'm very happy about that. Is it wrong that I love sticking people with needles?

Someone's got to do it?

You don't know hard to draw blood. There were five nuns in Sherman, Texas that could have told you about how hard it was to draw blood from a very sick 6 year old boy ... me.

Four to hold me down and one to do the actual poking.

It took her about six or seven tries to get anything, which was why I put up a fight after about the third try.

They told my mom that they had never had that much trouble before, ever.

I'm stingy with my blood.
