Using Haru as the lure turned out to be a good idea. Does that mean he’s a red fish? But the missiles are coming and this is their last chance! Things get worse when they all burst into song and begin to dance. Tapioca was so cute!
Yuki does it and suddenly the sun is out and it’s raining fish! Everyone in the town is ok and Haru and Koko are back on the boat. JFX is such a tiny little fish! I was expecting something slightly bigger since history refers to him as a dragon.
In the end, Haru and Koko take Urara home in their pink mushroom ship and the friends part ways, but it isn’t a sad occasion at all. Six months later, Grandpa has made a new scroll depicting the boy’s adventure and calls it “Art-o”-shima!” Hysterical!
It seems to be a happy ending for all, especially when a transfer student is introduced to Yuki’s class - Urara! He tells the class he’s an alien and sits next to Yuki. Yuki is surprised that no one seems to care Urara is an alien – mind control or acceptance? But Yuki invites Urara to go fishing with him. I was surprised they let Urara come back to Earth after all the trouble he caused the last time, but this time there is someone with him to keep him in line.
After the credits, Haru walks in to the classroom with a fishing pole! Yuki is shocked but the class stands up after Haru announces himself, points to him, calls him “the alien” and starts to laugh! It was nice to have this show end in laughter and have Yuki and Haru reunited. This was really an unexpectedly fun show!!
