Hey every one

Ever sence I watched all the Ghoast Stories eps. one thing was bugging me. I've never seen the sub titled verson I've only seen the dubbed that you guys have here. Dose the original have all those off color jokes? I just wondering because alot of them don't seem to fit. ty for taking the time to respond.

They ad-libbed or spiced up the dub as some would say. The original show is a kids show almost on the same lines as Scooby-Doo. The original Japanese audio and literal subtitle translation are included on the DVD's. So that as of now is the only way to see the difference. To be honest I doubt it would have sold as well without the spicing of the dub. Sometimes though I felt it was a little to much. The dub still leaves the basic plot structure and storyline intact. A lot of people were complaining but from what was said the Japanese licensor Aniplex did approve the changes.

the sub is NOTHING like the dub lol. The sub is like scooby doo. There are no references to anyone's religion, sexuality, the little brother isn't a retard, etc etc. The dub reminds me a lot of what happened to shin chan, however is still very funny in its subbed state, just using japanese cultural references instead of american ones.

lmao. The dub was so awesome! You could already tell that the dub was spicy, cuz they mentioned alot of actors that may not be well known in Japan. I love the Catholic chick!

Steven Foster and ADV hit a homerun with Ghost Stories, to the chagrin of the purists. Further annoying the purists are all the accolades this dub got, hehe.

No one can play naughty cats like Rob Mungle (Ghost Stories, Magikano).
