5) Are you using the App or Safari?
6) Name of show and episode number (if an episode won't load)
7) Describe the problem you are experiencing.

Ok I have an iPad 2 iOS 5.01. I was using wifi and I tried the app and the safari.I tried episodes if Kiba,Kinos Journey,High School of the Dead.When I try to access an episode of any show it plays for a few seconds and then a black screen but I can still hear the sound but still a black screen.Like I said before I'm on the free trial version of this animenetwork and I must say at first it sounded too good to be true but I guess it was.When this black screen problem is fixed please send me a message as I have read other people are/have experienced this problem.Thank you.

Same problem with the iPad 1. Latest iOS 5 and above. I get the blank screen 2 minutes into episode 2 of Xam'd. I am WiFi and using safari. I hear this problem is in the app as well.

The seems to be a problem with Anime Network. I don't have this problem with any other streaming service.

This issue has been going on since I became a subscriber last year, it's a buffering issue. Basically it goes to audio only because it doesn't think the connection can keep up with streaming video. I've had to pause the video and wait for it to buffer a bit and then press play again. I don't have this issue with Crunchyroll and their video for ios is of much higher quality. I think anime network needs more bandwidth to serve streaming video. Or they need to change the way they stream video. The app is also way behind the website for content and it appears that iOS users have to wait an extra week for their episodes to show up. I think when Funimation gets their iOS compatible streaming going I'm going to cancel anime network and go to Funi, better selection and quality of video and service will more than likely be a lot better as well. Too bad because I've really liked at lot of the shows that they have here.

I'm using an iPod touch 5 gen. I'm using wi fi and the app. In the latest update you asked for shows that were black screened here is my reply

I am using an ipad2, wifi. 32 gb and iOS 5.0.

When I try to watch a video, I get no audio. The video is fine, just no sound. This has been like this for months. If I watch from safari, everything is fine.

What is going on?

Please check that your volume is turned up in the app's video player and that you don't have anything muted.

I encountered the same issue several times over the last few weeks while out on the road at a hotel. I had it happen on multiple episodes of Maid Sama. I eventually was able to watch the episodes by exiting out and restarting the app and then scrubbing forward to where it had gone black- but if it happened multiple times in an episode it was a real pain.

This was on a 32GB WiFi iPad 2 running the newest OS.

I have the same issue I get audio thru headphones but not thru the speakers.

iOS: 5.0.1
Issue: Black Screen
Connection: WiFi, AT&T 3G, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth hotspot.

I've only had the app for a short while. And I am only reporting on the black screen that appears unexpectedly after playing. Audio continues uninterrupted.

Never encountered the black screen on the iPad 2. But shows up on the original iPad and iPhone 4S. Using the 30 second replay button after black screen appears displays the QuickTime logo as if there we're an audio-only stream being played. Connection type doesn't seem to matter. And no I have never used the service thru a web browser.
