There's been a change to the 2:00 A.M hour as well. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood goes in at 2:00 A.M and Ghost in the Shell moves to 2:30 A.M.

Cowboy Bebop leaves us.

How do you tell the Bleach filler from the non-filler?

As Slowhand said, the Zanpakuto arc (episodes 230- 265) was filler, along with other complete arcs

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

I don't know if last weeks episode (the recap episode) counts as filler or not.

I was being sarcastic. Every time I'm around to tune in, someone is fighting someone else for some reason. You could interchange the characters endlessly.

I was hoping they'd get the Inuyasha conclusion, since they ran that show into the ground almost continuously until this new Toonami launched.

Now that I think about it, I remember there being a quote about how Adult Swim was forced by fans to keep Inuyasha on. I'm wondering if the Toonami block is causing them to get an earful about it being taken off again?

Sorry about that. Your reasoning is true, personally I miss the old (pre SS arc) episodes. That was when Bleach was the best. (My opinion, others vary)

It would be nice to finally see the end of Inuyasha. I remember watching that when I first got cable back in 03

BTW I heard somewhere that originally Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt was going to be on AS (someone on the AS boards). Probably was a rumor though.

Turner Broadcasting System Asia Launches Toonami Channel
New 24-hour channel featuring Dragon Ball Z to launch in Southeast Asia in early 2013

Turner Broadcasting System Asia announced on Tuesday that it will launch a multi-language Toonami channel in early 2013 across Southeast Asia.

Toonami, which is based on the same programming block on Cartoon Network, will be a 24-hour channel that Turner Broadcasting System Asia describes as "the ultimate home of the superhero." The channel will feature anime and animated action-adventure series. The official announcement noted that the channel's line-up will include 'Dragon Ball Z', along with other animated series such as 'Young Justice', and 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold'.

Sunny Saha, the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Entertainment Networks at Turner International Asia Pacific Limited, said, "our aim is to make Toonami a socially-charged, multiplatform experience for fans, by fans. We'll invite input from viewers on everything from programming to showcasing fan art submissions on-air and online."

Turner Broadcasting System Asia will also launch the Cartoonito channel that will feature animation catered to younger viewers aged 3-7.

Adult Swim, the cable and satellite network that is paired with Cartoon Network, relaunched its Toonami programming block in the United States in May. Cartoon Network had previously ended Toonami in 2008 after an 11-year run.

That is also what you could call the resurrection of the Anime Network somewhat.

Meh, they need to start it earlier rather than ending later.

Toonami Expands to Six Hours

Returning "Cowboy Bebop" joins "Sym-Bionic Titan" and new "Thundercats"

Good news for anime fans who still have cable service. Jason DeMarco, VP of strategic marketing for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, revealed on Twitter that starting next week, the Toonami programming block "expands to 6 hours from midnight-6am, without repeating from 3a-6a."

Also from his Tweets...

I'm happy to announce that we will also be running the great SYM-BIONIC TITAN, and also the great new THUNDERCATS! Also, BEBOP will make it's return, running from 5a-6a. Finally, this Saturday we'll start running a new lineup spot that gives you the whole rundown, which will air every night for a whole. Hope this news makes you guys as happy...

We've wanted those shows since the beginning. I think Sym-Bionic is Genndy's best work. Just took a little paperwork For anyone thinking Sym-bionic is not "mature enough," watch this scene: youtu.be/-Nq12k4xM7I … This is advanced storytelling. Genius.

The new Thundercats was animated by anime production house Studio4C, who are also responsible for the new Berserk movies. Sym-Bionic Titan is a mecha homage from Samurai Jacks's Genndy Tartakovsky.
